Here is your DynoPage FKEY. Using the FKey, you can turn DynoPage on and off with a key stroke — Command-Shift-6. We strongly recommend that you install the DynoPage FKey so you can avoid having to use the control panel to turn DynoPage on and off.
An Fkey is a mini program, similar to an init, that enables you to perform a function (like turn on DynoPage) with special keystrokes. You can install it using the FKey Mover program included.
The easiest way to install the DynoPage FKey is to run the FKey Mover on this disk. It works just like Font/DA Mover. Here are the steps to use it:
1. Double-click on FKey Mover.
2. You will first see a notice listing the author and how to get an updated version of FKey Mover for working with your other Fkeys. Click on this window after a few moments to proceed.
3. You will be now presented with a dialog like the one below:
Note that on the left are the FKeys installed in your System file. The box will be empty if you have not installed any special FKeys.
4. Choose Open and select the DynoPage FKey 1.0.
4. Click on DynoPage FKEY to select it and choose Copy. It will take a minute to install and then you can choose Quit.
5. We suggest you restart your Mac before using your new DynoPage FKey.
You may also install the DynoPage FKey with the commercial utilities Suitcase™ II or Master Juggler, or with ResEdit.
To use the FKey, just press Command-Shift-6. This command-shift combination is the default and can be changed to another number between 5 and 9 (or zero) with FKey Manager or with ResEdit.
The DynoPage FKEY will locate the DynoPage Control Panel file in the System Folder, set it accordingly, and put up an alert informing you of DynoPage's current setting. The alert will only appear for a brief moment. If any kind of error occurs during the process of changing the DynoPage cdev settings, the FKEY will beep and exit without doing anything.
